The Council on Religion and the Homosexual Collection consists of one folder of printed materials from the Council on Religion and the Homosexual. Larger collections of materials concerning the CRH can be found in the Phyllis Lyons and Del Martin Papers and the Donald Lucas Papers.
Hist/Bio Note
The Council on Religon and the Homosexual was started in 1965 in San Francisco by a group of ministers centered at Glide Memorial Church gathered to consider the role of the churches in ministering to gays and lesbians. Branches were opened, notably in Southern California, New York, and Washington, D.C.
