This wide ranging collection documents the activities and research of the early feminist Linda Pritchard. Undated (? c.1970s) research papers and talks in her collection include, Sexism and God-Talk: Toward a Feminist Theology, Thou Gaia Art I: Matriarchal Mythology in Former Times and Today, and The Journey is Home: The Goddess as Metaphoric Image.

Hist/Bio Note

From 1980 to 1993, Linda Pritchard was Assistant Professor of History in the Division of Behavioral and Cultural Sciences at the University of Texas at San Antonio. From 1993-1998, she served as Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and Research in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. Pritchard earned a Ph.D. in history from the University of Pittsburgh. Her research is centered on organizational models for women's and gender studies programs, women and economic development, and women and religion in the United States. After teaching at UTSA, Dr. Pritchard was Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Arkansas State University from 1998-2002 and Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Eastern Michigan University from 2002-2005. From 2008-2012 she was also department head of Women’s and Gender Studies. In addition to her positions in university administration, Dr. Pritchard has been a professor of history at Eastern Michigan University since 2002.
